Situated in Park farm, adjacent to the Crop Science Centre, this glasshouse has the capability to help further ENSA’s goals.
The facility has high specification LED grow lighting systems, a high-pressure fogging system for humidity, mechanical cooling and forced air ventilation.
It is designed to enhance the speed of crop growth, and therefore speed-up crop science experiments.
Half will be set for sub-tropical conditions and used to grow rice and maize, whereas the other half will be used to grow barley.
